The FDA has not approved sildenafil 20mg as a generic of Viagra because although the active ingredient is identical, it is a different strength. Do not take Sildenafil while also taking Revatio® or Viagra®, unless your doctor tells you to. Sildenafil may also be used for purposes not listed in medication guide. Your Doctor can prescribe the pulmonary hypertension dose of 20mg for off-label use to treat erectile dysfunction. Off-label means the drug has not been approved by the FDA for the treatment of erectile dysfunction at that dose.
