The Details

Enclomiphene is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) used as Testosterone Replacement Therapy for men with secondary Hypogonadism looking to boost their testosterone while reducing the potential effects on their fertility. Enclomiphene is very similar to Clomiphene but it is a stronger antagonist of the Estrogen receptor than Clomiphene.

What to know about Enclomiphene

How it Works

Unlike other Testosterone treatments which increase the amount of testosterone in the body, SERMs like Enclomiphene work instead by reducing reactivity to estrogen in the bloodstream which in turn causes testosterone production to increase and testosterone levels to rise.

Enclomiphene is a stronger antagonist of the Estrogen receptor than Clomiphene and this higher affinity for the Estrogen receptor makes it more specific for the receptor, which decreases estrogen-related side effects.

Who’s it For?

Men of childbearing age with Low-T may choose to use Enclomiphene to avoid the negative effects on fertility, sperm production and testicular size while increasing their testosterone levels.

Effectiveness:

In multiple studies, Enclomiphene has been found to be effective in raising testosterone levels without damaging male fertility.1, 2. Some studies show a 2x increase in endogenous Testosterone production.

Good to Know

Enclomiphene therapy is not recommended for men with primary hypogonadism, or men who have high levels of circulating gonadotropins (Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)) with concurrent low testosterone. Enclomiphene monotherapy is also not recommended to be the primary choice of treatment for low testosterone for men that do not require to preserve fertility, as testosterone injections are the most reliable way to alleviate symptomatic low T.
